Bella is ready for her forever home! She has a loving, people oriented temperament. She is fabulously affectionate with every person, young & old. She loves to follow you through the house and rest at your feet when you stop. Bella is playful and will retrieve a toy for you to play but is rough and will tear up stuffed toys. She needs someone with a big heart looking for a loving companion. Please be that special person that can give her a loving forever home!
Bella's story: This sweet girl is an owner turn-in pulled from a gassing pound in Ohio. She was turned in due to a medical condition causing urine leakage. Her special needs status is due to her anxiety and leaky bladder. We give her easy access to the outside for potty and only notice dampness on her sheet in her crate when she wakes in the morning occasionally. Her anxiety causes her to chase and bite her tail when she becomes excited. She also has ongoing skin issues and hot spots which we suspect are caused by allergies. Bella needs a grain free diet to keep her skin issues under control. She is also beginning to show signs of trouble with her hips (including licking them due to the discomfort) and hearing. She may also be losing some of her eyesight as she does not always seem to see you if you are in her peripheral vision. We keep her active which seems to help her mobility. Her crumpled ear is from a previous hematoma that was left untreated and we received her with her ear in this condition. Bella does not interact well with other dogs and also barks non stop at cats. Also, no small children (under 10) due to the anxiety issues as she may accidentally knock a child over in her excitement. She needs a calm, loving home with someone that has patience to understand that she just wants to be loved and does not mean to cause a fuss.
